After a whole year of dealing with work, house chores and the children's school, it was a relieve to be able to take a break from our normal routine.

We landed at Taoyuan International Airport around 10.30pm on November 14, 2013. The immigration check and luggage clearance took about 2 hours. We headed straight to the taxi counter but it was empty instead we were guided by airport official to the exit where the taxis were already waiting for passengers. I enquired about the taxi fare to our designated hotel, I was informed by the kind official that it will be around NT$1100 and there will be change available - the taxi ride costed us NT$1080 from the airport to Dong Wu Hotel in YanPing Road at 1.00 am. The journey which normally take about 45 minutes during day time only took us about 35 minutes! We were dying to reach the hotel after travelling for more than 12 hours!
