Kobe Animal Kingdom 神戸どうぶつ王国

Formerly known as Kobe Kachoen (神戸花鳥園) until July 18, 2014 and was later renamed Kobe Animal Kingdom.

This is one of the theme parks created by botanist and collector Kamo Mototeru. The concept of this park is contact with flowers and animals. It is located next to Kobe University on an articial island; Port Island.

A great place for family; kids can enjoy their first hand contact with the animals and parents can enjoy their cups of hot tea with a fantastic view of the hanging flowers garden.

For 300 yen, you can have the fishes nibble the dead skin off your feet.

The scheduled bird show and it was fun and very interesting.

This guy was surprised when the parrot decided to land on his shoulder.

True to Kamo Mototeru's concept, visitors have first-hand contact with the animals and flowers at the park.

As we lookout of the window we realised it was drizzling, Kobe was in tears when we left!
